Summary
Financial year (1st September 2008 – 31st August 2009)
- Net sales came to 779.7 (858.6) mkr, whilst the operating result was -25.0 (10.0) mkr, thus producing a result after financial items of -38.5 (-5.7) mkr.
- The result after tax was -26.9 (-4.8) mkr, which produced a result per share after tax of -3.90 (-0.70) kronor. The recalculation of tax debts based on the decision to lower the tax rate was effected during the first quarter, a measure which had a positive effect on the item “tax” in the result for the period by a figure of 1.7 mkr.
- The less satisfactory result for the financial year, compared with the same period in the preceding year, is due principally to lower sales prices for sawn wood-goods by a figure of –33 mkr.
- The result for the financial year has been affected by exchange rate effects by a figure of 4.0 (1.4) mkr.
- In spite of a negative result and a lower level of capacity utilisation than the preceding year, continued capital rationalisation meant a positive cash flow for the financial year from current activities amounting to 51.8 (34.8) mkr.
- The production of sawn wood-goods decreased by 4 % during the financial year, compared with the same period in the preceding year.

- The improved result for the fourth quarter, compared with the same period in the preceding year, is due principally to improved sales prices for sawn wood-goods by a figure of 25 mkr.
- The result for the fourth quarter has been affected by exchange rate effects of 6.0 (0.3) mkr.
- The production of sawn wood-goods increased by 4 % during the fourth quarter.
