Bergs Timber produces and sells sawn and processed wood products directly tailored to customers’ requirements. This is carried out in close cooperation with the customer.
Strategies
The timber industry is diverse and highly competitive, with a large number of players. Efficient supplies of raw materials are vital. Our focus is on closer customer integration by means of efficient delivery systems, a higher level of processing and increased customer relationship management, as well as building up business based on forestry and sawmill by-products.

- Clarifying the Bergs Timber brand and its subsidiaries.
- No customer is a stranger – we work closely with every customer to meet their wood product needs. Production must be guided by customer orders, with wood preservation treatment used increasingly as a finishing instrument.
- Improved logistics solutions for the customer, by means of warehousing (Partnershop) and Internet-based picking systems (Pick & Pack) plus increased customer relationship management.
- Optimised use of the raw timber product. Timber is purchased and modified in line with requirements from the sawmills based on forecast timber product sales.
- A narrow product range at each sawmill to achieve high productivity.
- High production efficiency thanks to high investment in sawmill facilities.
- A joint purchasing organisation through the subsidiary Bergs Skog for the supply of raw material to the Group’s sawmills, through which forest owners also gain access to forestry services.
- Greater focus on biofuel products.
