Use and maintenance

Bitus Primex™ is a factory priming of timber, which provides effective protection against moisture, micro-organisms, and ultraviolet radiation. Bitus Primex™ is a water- and alkyd based paint available white, yellow, red and grey. The application area is for the priming of wood products, primarily outdoor panels. Bitus Primex™ is designed to provide good adhesion to subsequent layers of paint.

When you use Bitus Primex™ on your building project, you get excellent protection for your timber during the entire construction period. A new coat of paint is recommended after six or 12 months.

Bitus Primex™ requires no maintenance during the construction period. However, we recommend that the completed panel be inspected before being repainted. It may be necessary to remove dust and dirt, and to prepare the end grain, exposed areas or places that are exposed to mechanical stress.
