Mörlunda
In Mörlunda, spruce products are produced, primarily for the main markets Denmark, The Netherlands, Great Britain and Sweden. About 60 percent of the deliveries are processed further.
There are two saw lines, one for normal timber and one for small timber. The normal line is operated with two shifts, while the small line has been operated during the year with three shifts, however, since October 2008, even the small line has been only operated with two shifts. This gives a total production capacity of about 150,000 m3 per year. The normal timber lines timber intake was upgraded in 2003. The sawmills gauging station and timber sorting was rebuilt in 2002.
During 2008, a completely new planing mill was taken into full operation, which will result in about 80 percent of the sawmills production being planed in two shifts. Also included in the new planing mill is a cleaving line, which can be run either separately or directly in line with the planing line. A large part of the planed wood products is graded by strength directly in the line using a Dynagrade. Further processing is possible with the help of packing and exact cutting. Briquettes are also produced in Mörlunda.
